The Bachelor is no longer a bridesmaid in Detroit.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. _ a contestant earlier this year on "The Bachelor" _ won Sunday’s Stadium Super Trucks Series race, his first victory on the Belle Isle course.

“I’ve finished on the podium a number of times, so it feels good to finally get it done,” said Luyendyk, who was at the track with fiancée Lauren Burnham.

Luyendyk has competed in the IndyCar, Indy Lights and other racing series. He says he still has a passion for open-wheel racing.

“We almost had something together for the Indy 500 this year, but I was a little busy with The Bachelor,” Luyendyk said. “You never know."

The Super Trucks race was shortened from 10 to six laps after 2017 series champion Paul Morris was involved in a scary-looking crash. Morris’ truck hit a tire barrier and flipped over on its roof. He was checked out, cleared and released from the track hospital.
