BROOKLYN, Mich. (AP) — Brad Keselowski complained earlier in the week that he often comes close at Michigan International Speedway but can't seem to win.

Sunday was par for the course, then.

Keselowski finished third behind winner Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott. It was his fifth top-five finish in 15 Cup races at MIS, but he has no wins.

"Seems like every time we come here, we want to win so bad, we run third or fourth every time, which is really good in the Sprint Cup Series, but it's certainly not the win we're looking for," said Keselowski, who is from nearby Rochester Hills.

Keselowski's car failed post-race laser inspection.

Keselowski was near the front at the final restart with nine laps to go, when Larson moved ahead and took control.

"We were a third-place car most of the day," Keselowski said. "On long runs, we were maybe the best car. For most of the day we were a third-place car — finished where we deserved."
