INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — They raced 1-2-3 in line, trading the lead a whopping 15 times over the final, frantic 75 laps. All three drivers had a last-lap plan in mind when they zipped past the white flag, and it was Takuma Sato who acted first with a bold move for the win.

Sato pulled out of line, dipped inside of Dario Franchitti and tried to pounce as they headed into the first turn. Scott Dixon watched and waited from third, figuring he was now in position to slingshot past both for the victory.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The 97th running of the Indianapolis 500 is Sunday with a wide-open field and a pair of drivers trying to join the elite list of four-time winners. Two Americans start on the front row, along with Carlos Munoz, an unknown Indy 500 newcomer who grew up idolizing Juan Pablo Montoya — a fellow Colombian who won "The Greatest Spectacle In Racing" as a rookie.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Carlos Munoz hopes to follow in the footsteps of his idol, fellow Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya, by winning from the front row as a rookie in Sunday's Indianapolis 500.

With the backing of powerhouse team Andretti Autosport, Munoz qualified second for the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing," just like Montoya did when he won the race in 2000.

MONACO (AP) — Nico Rosberg set the fastest qualifying time at the Monaco Grand Prix on Saturday to secure his third consecutive pole position and a fourth straight for Mercedes.

The German driver finished ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton. With Monaco's track the hardest to overtake on in Formula One, Mercedes has a great chance to clinch its first win of the season on Sunday.
