Joe Gibbs Racing has suspended two crew members of a rival organization.
The members of Furniture Row Racing were each suspended for three races because of a confrontation with the crew chief of JGR driver Kyle Busch. JGR provides the pit crew for FRR as part of a technical alliance, giving them the authority to suspend members of competing driver's team.

FRR driver Martin Truex Jr. had front tire changer Chris Taylor and rear tire changer Lee Cunningham suspended following a confrontation with crew chief Adam Stevens during the Brickyard 400.
Busch and Truex crashed while racing for the lead at Indy, which led to the altercation.
"Our No. 78 pit crew is hired, trained and managed by Joe Gibbs Racing," Furniture Row Racing team owner Barney Visser said. "They are one of the best pit crews on the circuit and have kept us up front all season. We admire the talent and dedication of our pit crew and support all of the decisions and actions taken by Joe Gibbs Racing."
