SONOMA, Calif. (AP) — Joe Gibbs Racing will not discuss Carl Edwards, who is believed to be joining the team at the end of the season.

JGR President J.D. Gibbs said before Sunday's race at Sonoma Raceway that "I can't talk about that" when asked about Edwards moving into a new fourth car at the organization.

Edwards has a stipulation in his contract with Roush Fenway Racing that prevents him from announcing his plans with another team until September.

It's much like the contract Matt Kenseth had with Roush. The team announced after the Sonoma race in 2012 that Kenseth was not returning the next season, but he was not permitted to announce he was moving to Gibbs until September.

Gibbs also dismissed a report that sponsor M&M's will move from Kyle Busch's car to Edwards, and, he downplayed reports of strife between Busch and crew chief Dave Rogers.

"I think they get along just fine," Gibbs said. "I mean, who else is even out there for Kyle to get as a crew chief?"
